D & R Hydrant is a Las Vegas/Henderson-based company that repairs and replaces fire hydrants in the Las Vegas Valley. We have the latest equipment to get the job done efficiently and effectively. We are #1 in service and fill all of your hydrant needs. We do repairs, servicing, and testing. We also do emergency call-outs and consultations. Get in touch today!
For hydrant flows we use the hose monster for flow testing: either a 2-1/2" or 4" depending on the size of your waterline. The major advantage of using the hose monster is it doesn't cause any water damage during flow testing and uses minimal water, saving you time and money.
The comprehensive services at D & R Hydrant Inc. encompass everything involved with hydrants, including yearly maintenance, hydrant replacements, and interim testing to make sure everything is in working order. Whatever service you require, you can count on us to get the job done correctly the first time. Our most popular service is hydrant repair. We always attempt to repair your hydrants to the best of our ability before suggesting a replacement, helping customers save money and allowing hydrants to function well for years to come.
At D & R Hydrant Inc., we specialize in drawing site maps which are then converted into Adobe Acrobat. We will also take your water atlas and input that into Adobe Acrobat as well. For more information about these convenient services, give us a call today.
At D & R Hydrant Inc., our goal is to serve clients and representative agents with the same dedication as our owner had shown in his 35 years of services with the Henderson Fire Department. We have the best knowledge and tools to ensure the most reliable fire protection service in the area, including commercial and residential sprinkler systems. For a free estimate, get in touch with a friendly representative now.
While it is impossible to completely void the chance of a fire in your residential or commercial building, with proper precautions in place you can drastically reduce potential property damage that an unexpected blaze can bring. At D & R Hydrant Inc., we can’t emphasize enough how important a properly maintained fire sprinkler system is. To ensure that you have 24/7 protection in the event of an emergency, give us a call today.
It is the responsibility of HOA Board Members, Property Managers (whether on-site or from Corporate Offices), and Maintenance Supervisors (for Apartments, Hotels, and Shopping Complexes), to keep up with the building and fire codes, as well as local ordinances.
You as the responsible party could become liable for any damages caused by a fire, just because the private fire hydrant or sprinkler system wasn't working properly when the Fire Department tried to use it for an emergency.
With regular tests and maintenance services from D & R Hydrant Inc., you can rest assured that your hydrants and sprinkler systems are in optimum shape, avoiding any liability and helping to keep all occupants safe.
The only way you can be sure you have enough water coming out of your fire hydrants and water systems is to conduct individual flow tests. Our tests include a report of the static pressure, residual pressure, pitot pressure, and GPM for each hydrant.
If there are big differences between each hydrant flow, you may have a problem with your water system and/or fire hydrant. Identifying these issues is important for protecting your property and avoiding liability in the case of an emergency. Get your regular testing conducted now by giving us a call.

In 1983, the City of Henderson was the first city to pass an ordinance requiring private fire hydrants to be tested ANNUALLY by a licensed and certified fire protection services company. Today, Clark County, City of Las Vegas, and the City of North Las Vegas have adopted similar ordinances.
The results of the ANNUAL TEST are to be kept onsite and maintained by the property manager, or n HOA representative and must be presented upon request by the Fire Department or Fire inspector.
A correction notice or a citation could be issued for non-compliance by the Fire Department or Fire Inspector.

Fire Safety - In time of need, if the fire hydrant doesn't work properly, it could result in large additional damages to properties from a fire.
The local Fire Departments don't maintain private fire hydrants, or water systems. Therefore, it's your responsibility to make sure the fire hydrants and water system work and meet the minimum standards set forth by the local fire codes.
Private water systems are closed systems, meaning the water only circulates within its own system. Most private water systems don't flow enough water within a year to keep the water clear of impurities and crustation build-up. Remember, this is the water you drink and use for domestic services.
It is in your best interest to set up a good maintenance program for your fire hydrants because the price to replace just one fire hydrant could run into the thousands of dollars.
